2. Beta Status
CompareMate is currently in beta. This means the Service is still under active development. Features may change, be removed, or become temporarily unavailable without prior notice. 4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent usage limits
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Submit harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
5. AI-Generated Recommendations
Comparison results are generated by artificial intelligence based on publicly available information. These results are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional, legal, financial, or purchasing advice. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You should independently verify all information before making any purchasing or business decisions. CompareMate is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated output.
6. Local Recommendations and Public Business Data
The Local Compare feature uses public business data sourced from third-party services (including Google Places). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of local business information such as hours, ratings, or addresses. Always verify local information directly with the business before visiting.
7. Healthcare and Critical Decisions Disclaimer
CompareMate is not a healthcare platform and is not designed for use in medical, clinical, or health-related decision-making. Do not use CompareMate's comparison results as a basis for medical, pharmaceutical, or health-related decisions. For health matters, always consult a qualified healthcare professional. The same caution applies to legal, financial, and safety-critical decisions.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Subscription pricing may change with notice provided through the app. Free tier limits are subject to change.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CompareMate and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms of Use. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes through the app.
